Not your typical rice crispy treat! This next-level recipe includes browned butter, creamy peanut butter, and flaky sea salt. You'll never go back to boring again!
Makes 10 squares
1/2 cup Tillamook unsalted butter
2- 10oz. pkgs of Dandies mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon Singing Dog vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Branon maple syrup
Jacobsen Salt Co.'s Pure Flake Sea Salt, for topping
Butter or spray a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until brown bits start to form. Quickly add 15 ounces of the marshmallows and stir to melt. Keep stirring and add the vanilla extract, peanut butter, and maple syrup. Stir until melted.
Pour in the cereal. Stir until about halfway mixed in. Add the rest of the marshmallows and mix until incorporated. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with flaky sea salt.
Let it rest until cool for at least 30 minutes. Slice into squares.
